i need an easy messy updo?
i have a wedding to go to on the 14th of this month. it is at 7pm. the ceremony is outside and the reception is indoors (a local mansion). i am wearing a black dress, 5 inch edges, and gold accessories. i bought a gold headband that is embelished with studs.
i need a messy updo (nothing too formal) that my friend can do for me. obviously neither of us are hairstylists, so we need something that is relatively simple to do.
i have short dark brown hair (it hits just above the shoulder) and bangs. my hair is straight and has a hard time holding curls.

First, apply a volumizing mousse to dry hair. Then curl all of it, really concentrating on the ends. Once all of it is curled, spray all over with a strong hold hairspray,while scrunching the ends. Then part hair on the side (hers in on the left). Then comb in your head band, while leaving your hair parted. ( this sounds like it would look cute with your outfit by the way) Next, tease your hair at the back(near the crown). Then gently pull back into a ponytail. Use clear rubber bands. Then using another clear rubber band, tie it into a loose bun. Secure any crazy pieces with bobby pins that match your hair color. Finish the look off by spraying once again with hairspray.
