Is the price of the weave an indicator of the quality?
I’ve seem some pics of someone’s work online. Was debating b/t a weave and tree braids. I called and the prices were really low – under $100 for the tree braids and under $200 for a weave incl remy hair… Unless they are using the cheap prices = more heads= more money method, should I be worried or go elsewhere?
From personal experience- I saw pics of a stylist designs online, called for her prices, and they were much lower than the salon I used for about a year. Since price was an issue I went ahead and tried her out. I was so happy I did. Her prices were lower because the area I lived in (the burbs) just cost more than getting my hair done in the city. And if you’re worried ask for referral from some of her other customers. If a stylist is confident with her technique she won’t mind letting you talk to her customers if you’re coming in for the first time. Don’t let the price scare you away, because 200 for a weave with hair included isn’t really that cheap where I live, it’s about the price I pay.
