What cut/style for me?
I know this sounds like an easy question, but I’m utterly clueless. My hair is SUPER thick and is naturally wavy…but not in a cute way, in a poofy way. We’re talking Bozo the Clown, here. I have an oval face shape, and right now my hair is in long layers (down to the middle of my back) and I straighten it like there’s no tomorrow. Does anyone have any suggestions, short of cutting it all off and buying a wig? Thanks!

i have hair like that. I’d suggest investing in some product, because once I started using product and conditioning it to death, it kind of fell straight. embrace the curls as well, use curling irons and stuff. and ALWAYS GET LAYERS with a razor cut. if you don’t get layers, your hair WILL poof out and look like a bush. if you want bangs be sure to straighten them–people with hair like ours need to put in a lot of time to maintain in. as for cut…it doesn’t really matter the length–whatever you do, don’t thin it out. thick hair is good, it’s healthier and prettier. A lot of people actually do places to add more volume to their hair, getting rid of that if dumb. just maintain it more and it’ll grow into itself.
