Where does donor hair come from for hair transplants?
I just saw some pictures of hair plugs and I am wondering where they come from.
Actually its the craziest thing!
I just watched a documentary on TV about this! The majority of it is from India where in the hindu religion where they give their hair as an offering to their god. The priests sell the hair to other countries and use the money as offerings to the temple.
It was funny because they told a lady that her hair was going to be put on someone elses head and she thought that it was the craziest thing that someone would want to do that! It was pretty interesting.
