Hair coloring Ideas for visiting a beauty college?

This is going to sound really super stupid but I’m visiting Paul Mitchell The School in Sherman Oaks at the end of this month for a private tour. I am going to be attending it fall of ’09 if I get in and I like this school more than any of the others I’ve looked at by far.

I like to keep my hair pretty of course and I get it done at a salon. I am going to get my hair colored before I go there and I want it to look really awesome so that they can see that I care about my own hair. Plus, it would be really weird to have roots showing and crap. My hair is naturally brown but its very light blond. I want to keep it mainly blond but I want some highlights and lowlights. I was thinking reds blacks browns maybe something with light pink. I work at a conservative place but they’re pretty alright with colored hair. I need Ideas, my hair is a few inches past my shoulders, I have grey eyes, a light complection.

Any ideas would be great!

1. Stop. Read the School’s literature and Newsletters (current and past).
Visit the School now and see what is going on there style and colorwise.
2. Have your hair done there now – Discuss options with the student and supervising instructors – Be an enthusiastic listener – For now, go with something that fits your current conservative place. Schedule an appointment in a few months to return and go through the same procedure, being a bit more innovative. Know and support the School!
3. When you come back to officially visit the school, you will have a heads up, and will have relevant questions, comments and experience.
4. After you are a student, you will be trying all the totally non-conservative, new, innovative styles, colors and techniques.
Don’t rush it! Slow down. Be yourself where you are now. Good luck and Success!
