Is it my hair or the hair color?
So I just dyed my soft black hair for the first time with a Loreal Superior Preference in 5 Medium Brown color. I followed the instructions but when i finished the steps, and rinsed my hair, it didn’t change color. But if you look at my hair under some sort of light, you’ll see that the strands actually turned brown. It’s just not visible. But what’s the point of a hair color if you can’t see it? I would like to know if I should I dye my hair again after a few months? If so, which hair color should I get next time? And should I get a lighter shade or a darker shade in order to get the brown hair I want. And should I also change the hair coloring brand that I just used?
if the soft black you have isn’t natural, then this is why it didn’t work. tint doesn’t lift tint. therefore, trying to put a lighter color on a dark color it won’t work. if it was your natural hair, it should have worked.
