The guide book for our cheer squad has a section which says:
It is the responsibility of each individual cheerleader to take proper care of his or her uniforms. Uniforms will be worn to school on game days and on any special spirit days as designated by the coaches. Uniforms must be worn correctly at all times. Hair and hair bows are considered part of the overall uniform; therefore, hair and hair bows will be worn alike when in uniform. Cheerleaders must be in complete uniform at games, including designated bows, poms and other gear. Hair will be up and/or styled to accomodate the hair bow provided with the uniform. No exceptions to any of these rules.
What should I do if I have short hair?
How would this apply to guys?
it doesn’t apply to guys, they don’t wear bows. Some teams give them a little bow for game days that clip on to their shirt.
If your hair won’t go into a high pony, see if the other girls will wear it half up/half down. If you can’t do that either than just don’t wear a bow
You should ask your captain or coach what they think you should do.
