is laser therapy better or electrolysis better for hair removal?
for extra hair growth in chin area i wanted to know which is a better option electrolysis or laser and why
First, both methods permanently destroy the targeted follicle. When people say that either is not permanent it is because 1) A follicle was not completely destroyed or 2) Hormonal changes cause new follicles to become active and grow new hairs.
Which to run with is first dependent on the size of the area. If it is a large area, don’t even think about electrolysis because it is not feasible. For your chin area, is it 10-20 hairs you notice or 100-150. If it is 100-150 I would again say don’t even think about electrolysis because the risk of scarring and the number of treatments would be too high.
Now, if it is 10-20 hairs, that means you will probably really be needing to treat 50-100 follicles. I would personally go with LHR as I have had both on a small area and the electrolysis hurt like h*&&. In my case the laser left me hair free for 6 years and my alternatives were 4 laser treatments or 10 electrolysis treatments.
